Yankees Updates:

Ok… So Ken Rosenthal just gave several updates about the Yankees so lets talk about them and others.

1st he confirmed the Yankees are still talking to LHP Justin Wilson and working to sign him.

The latest I have is this is very much true. The Yankees are the leaders for him but as many as 8 teams are trying for the veteran lefty.

I can EASILY see him taking a $2.5 Million 1 year deal with the Yankees with a player option for a 2nd year as O’Day got.

2nd he mentions the Yankees are still working out all in the trade market and mentioned the Rangers, Reds, Rockies, M’s, Brewers and others as being in active talks with the Yankees.

The Rangers for INF/OF Joey Gallo but they have not made much progress yet though I am told if Gallo is moved the Yankees are the landslide leaders and the talks are very fluid here.

The Brewers for LHP Josh Hader Obviously but also LHP Brandon Woodruff. The talks here are fluid but not heating up yet.

With the Cubs its several names from Ian Happ, to Anthony Rizzo, to Kyle Hendricks, to Kris Bryant and ETC.

The talks are fluid as well here but progressing very slowly. LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR THE CUBS ARE NOT MOVING JAVIER BAEZ(BAY-ez or BAH-ez)!

The M’s for LHP Marco Gonzalez. The talks are weak here but ongoing and please remember the Yankees and M’s have a history of trades. Just sayin!

The Rockies for INF Trevor Story and LHP Blake Freeland. Talks are string here but the Rockies not willing to trade them yet. More then likely a trade deadline move.

The Reds for RHP Luis Castillo and 3B/1B Mike Moustakas obviously.

I am again told a always the talks are very strong here but yet to progress that far after the Gleyber Torres demand by the Reds.

The Yankees are offering a package around one of their young SS’s so its a work in progress still.

Not much else outside these.

We all saw the OF/1B Jay Bruce singing with the Yankees today and again the belief is he will break camp with the Yankees. Cashman has guaranteed lefty power bats and now has one!

The RHP Darren O’Day singing is now official. The 1 time Yankee and Yankees farm hand is officially a Yankee again!

The Yankees are now working on signing or trading many other players though Ken Rosenthal noted OF Brett Gardner is not one of them! Still no contact at all there as the Yankees have moved on.

Stay alert as the Yankees are 100% working hard and though it appears they are done they can strike at any time!
