Projecting Cody Bellinger, and Paul Goldschmidt’s 2025 Seasons:

The Yankiees have added two former MVP Sluggers this offseason. What can we realistically expect from them though? Lets take a look:

He is a lefty bopper and big time pull hitter. The perfect fit for the Yankees wiht the Stadium they play in. Here’s his career spray chart:

Big time pull hitter in every way. Literally the perfect fit for Yankee Stadium!

Even Wrigley Field where he played the last 2 years kept a lot of those balls down the RF corner out to straight away RF IN THE PARK! They are going to be HR’s in Yankee Stadium!

As such he is about to see a major statistical SPIKE!

Defensively as good as it comes in CF! He’s never played with any player anywhere near as good as AARON JUDGE!

PROJECTED STATS:

.281 BA, 34 HR’s, 117 RBI’s, 105 BB’s.

He’s a good 1B still. Defense remains well above average. The concern here is his bat. He bats RH which doesn’t really fit in Yankee Stadium. Here’s his career spray chart:

As you can see he is a big time pull hitter.

That said, the LF corner through left center in Yankee Stadium is a good bit more shallow then any ballpark he has called home yet. Especially in the LF corner. He as well will see a statistical spike offensively.

2025 PROJECTION:

.278 BA, 32 HR’s, 113 RBI’s, 123 BB’s.

Both should do quite well with the Yankees if they stay healthy and play 140+ games each! Both are good moves and could turn into great ones! Of course Paul Goldschmidt is a gonner in November to clear 1B for Japanese Star 1B/3B Munetaka Murakami. Bellinger lilkely returns in 2026 unless Spencer Jones and Jasson Dominguez force him out.
