My Reports Confirmed! All Yankees Healthy! Stanton at DH?

So earlier today The Yankees GM Brian Cashman announced confirmation of my reports over the last few days that all Yankees are healthy going into the 2020 shortened season. He mentioned Aaron Judge by name saying yes he’s good to go!

The Yankees should rightfully be worried about Giancarlo Stanton's ...

Here’s the news from The YES Networks Jack Curry:

SO STanton confirmed as Opening day DH. This changes the lineup a bit. It pushes Andujar into LF. Here’s the way it looks now:

  1. 2B D.J. LeMahieu
  2. RF Aaron Judge
  3. SS Gleyber Torres
  4. 1B Mike Ford
  5. DH Giancarlo Stanton
  6. C Gary Sanchez
  7. CF Aaron Hicks
  8. LF Miguel Andujar
  9. 3B Gio Urshella

Interesting swap. Andujar proved he can handle LF. His bat to to good to hold out of the lineup. Its a lock.

Ford is getting more talk as the 1B then Voit and is the Yankees ONLY lefty power bat. As such he MUST be in the lineup!

No no order changes though. they stay the same 1-9 just swap positions.

I could possibly see Aaron Hicks batting 4th with Ford 7th as Hicks also gives you a lefty power bat.

On the pitching side Cashman today confirmed Paxton will be ready for Opening day. Or rather to start day after opening day.

As such my rotation prediction stands. It’s this:

  1. RHP Garrett Cole
  2. LHP James Paxton
  3. RHP Masahiro Tanaka
  4. LHP J.A. Happ
  5. RHP Clarke Schmidt

A loaded rotation that will be loads of fun to watch! I will enjoy the Yankees having a real rotation for the 1st time in years.

That’s all the changes for now outside Cashman confirming all Yankees will play this year. Get excited Yankees fans.
