Juan Soto to the Yankees is INEVITABLE!

The closer we get to the trade deadline, the more obvious it gets that Juan Soto is getting traded to the New York Yankees this trade deadline.

I received this very, VERY interesting message earlier today:

That same source that had that hours before Pat Ragazzo dropped his article surmises the Padres – Yankees Soto trade will look like this:

Yankees get: OF Juan Soto, LHP Blake Snell, LHP Josh Hader

(THEN MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO EXTEND ALL 3)

Padres get: OF Everson Pereira, 1B/3B Tyler Hardman, SS Anthony Volpe, RHP Drew Thorpe, RHP Clayton Beeter, and 3B.DH Andres Chaparro. Maybe Josh Breaux as well.

That’s a heck of a haul for 2 expiring contracts and Soto. That’s 4 of the Yankees top 15 Prospects and Volpe.

The Yankees are already in contact with the Padres, the talks have started but likely the trade doesn’t get close till closer to the deadline.

Bear in mind the Padres are way, WAY out of the playoff hunt already.

1st Jeter demands this trade on national TV, Then BOTH Rosenthal and Passan make this link, then this f rom Pat Ragazzo the METS top insider. Something is moving here for sure.

Also I for one believe all the Ohtani reports flying out and around like crazy is Cashman’s classic smoke screen to allow the Soto talks to go on in silence. Think about it!
