The MLB Has Lost ALL Credibility and What the Yankees Do Next

What a horrific end to this MLB season. This is the lowest rated MLB post season ever and for good reason. The MLB refusing to do anything about the Astros (CHEATstros) and Redsox unmitigated PROVEN cheating caused this. The MLB has ZERO credibility left.

I am so sick and hurt by this criminal activity. The whole baseball world must hope and pray the Phillies offense continues to be unstoppable and beats down the CHEATstros!

So with this known, where do the Yankees turn next and what do they do from here?

Lets start with OF Aaron Judge:

I was told he is not going anywhere. The Yankees are prepping a massive, MASSIVE offer for him that will surprise people. He’s staying.

As is 1B Anthony Rizzo. They both ONLY want to be Yankees.

That said, who is not coming back?

After long convo’s with a few Yankees execs, and based off how players performed I was told the following players are good as gone. Traded, released, DFA’d, FA, etc. JUST GONE!

INF Josh Donaldson

INF Gleyber Torres

OF Aaron Hicks

INF Isiah Kiner-Felefa

C Kyle Higashioka

LHP Aroldis Chapman

LHP Zack Britton

RHP Domingo German

RHP Jamison Taillon (Expected to walk in FA)

Other players could get the boot as well. We could also see some of these stunningly stay but that would be a mega surprise.

So who could be added based on my convo’s with Yankees execs and knowing who is available?

Based on what I have been told here some names to keep an eye on.

OF Bryan Reynolds (TRADE)

We all know he is getting traded and the Yankees love him. Keep a close eye on this. Would have an extension attached for sure.

LHP Carlos Rodon (FA)

The Yankees are expected to be at the forefront of his FA. He’s a perfect fit for their rotation. I would expect a 4+ year deal for $10 Million+ per year.

RHP Kodai Senga (FA)

A FA from the Japanese league who is a dominant pitcher. HITS 100+ MPH regularly. Could be a reliever or Starter with his stuff. I would expect a 5 year deal for over $50 Million.

3B Nolan Arenado (FA TO BE AS HE IS EXPECTED TO TOP OUT)

Yankees will be involved here and will sign him IF the price is right. He will be entering his AGE 32 season and still has his 35+ HR, 110+ RBI pop and a .300+ BA bat. Defense was gold glove quality as well yet again. Should be in line for a deal near 5 years and $20 Million per.

RHP/DH Shohei Ohtani (Expected to be traded this offseason a year from FA)

The Yankees made an offer at the trade deadline for him. IT WAS NOT REJECTED! The Angels sat on it. This is sure to be revisited EVEN IF it costs the Yankees Jasson Dominguez. He would only be acquired WITH AN EXTENSION ATTACHED.

OF Juan Soto (Possible trade)

There is a fast growing belief, that due to the painful exit in the NLCS, and Soto being unwilling to even talk extension with the Padres, they could in fact trade him. The Yankees would be one of the teams involved for sure and BY FAR most likely to land him.

RHP Chris Bassett (FA)

A tops in the game starter the Yankees will AT LEAST talk to. Mets will try to retain him but still the Yankees will try for him. Barring a major surprise, I Would expect a 5+ year deal worth OVER $100 Million. He pitched that well for the Mets after being traded there.

RHP Jake DeGrom (OPTING OUT & BECOMING FA)

He has already told the Mets he is opting out. Its believed he is eyeing the Braves in FA. The Yankees have told me they will AT LEAST talk to him. Unlikely they sing him though.

OF Cody Bellinger (IF HE IS DFA’D/NON TENDERED AS EXPECTED)

The Yankees are eyeing this and will take a flier on him if they get the chance. The Dodgers are expected to DFA or No tender him making him a FA. AS he is a power hitting LEFT HANDED BAT which is a focus for the Yankees, they will jump at the chance to add him. Likely a bench OFer and role player. Cna spell at 1B as well.

OF Andrew Benintendi (FA)

Yankees are expected to talk to him but the feel AS OF RIGHT NOW is he’s gone due to getting hurt again. Yankees concerned he cannot stay healthy. If they can get Cody Bellinger for cheaper they will though they EASILY could sign both.

C Wilson Contreras (FA AND CLOSE FRIND OF RIZZO’S)

Yankees will poke around here and likely make him an offer. They love his veteran leadership abilities and bat. Not known what his market really is or contract value is.

C Sean Murphy

Yankees will be trying to trade for him however unlikely I am told.

A MEGA FA SS? (5 IN FA)

Unlikely. Yankees are good putting Peraza there and signing a power hitting 3B to add offense such as Arenado. This is what I was told.

There’s obviously other players the Yankees will try for in trades and free agency. This is the main list. This said here is my projected Yankees opening day roster for 2023:

ROTATION:

RHP Gerrit Cole

LHP Carlos Rodon

RHP Luis Severino

LHP Nestor Cortes

RHP Frankie Montas

BULLPEN:

CP RHP Kodai Senga

SU RHP Johnathan Loaisiga

SU LHP Wandy Peralta

SU RHP Clay Holmes

MR RHP Lou Trevino

MR LHP Lucas Luetge

MR RHP Greg Weissert

MR RHP Stephen Ridings

Lets note this one could change a lot. This is merely the belief at this point. Cashman will look at this one long and hard.

LINEUP:

  1. LF Andrew Benintendi
  2. RF Aaron Judge
  3. 1B Anthony Rizzo
  4. DH Giancarlo Stanton
  5. CF Bryan Reynolds
  6. 3B Carlos Correa (Yankees considering this)
  7. SS Oswald Peraza
  8. C Wilson Contreras/ C Sean Murphy
  9. 2B DJ LaMahieu

Loaded, deep and nasty! Balance everywhere. Power and average bats everywhere as well.

Bench:

INF/OF Oswaldo Cabrera

C Jose Trevino

OF Harrison Bader

INF/LF Cody Bellinger

I project some Cheap FA signings, a mega trade and a few MEGA singings as this shows. Cashman is pissed and on a vendetta against baseball and baseball fans to prove he is not the issue.

I am not talking spending wildly but rather spending on guys who are perfect fits as Arenado and Reynolds would be. Bellinger is a flier but chance at this as well. He still has great abilities if they can be unlocked and is still just 27 years old.

Changes have to be made and fast. Cashman will move fast and surprise everyone.
