Lets do it as I do every year. Here are my MLB 2025 Season MLB Predictions:
AL:
AL EAST:
- New York Yankees 95-67
- Baltimore Orioles 85-77
- Toronto Blue Jays 82-80
- Boston RedSox 81-81
- Tampa Bay Rays 68-94
Just a weak division. Orioles lost Burnes and Santander, and now major injuries to Henderson and Rodriguez. RedSux added Crocket and Bregman but still so weak and top heavy. The Rays are pure trash. The Jays added Santander but still quite weak. The Yankees remain strong and loaded back up replacing all their injured guys and more, AND, may add more.
AL CENTRAL:
- Kansas City Royals 90-72
- Detroit Tigers 87-75
- Cleveland Guardians 85-77
- Minnesota Twins 85-77
- Chicago WhiteSox 55-107
The White Sox remain the laughing stock of the AL. Does OF Luis Robert have a bounce back as their lone bright spot? The rest of the division will be a dog fight with teams beating up on each other all seaosn long but the Royals will win it in the end.
AL WEST:
- Texas Rangers 92-70
- Seattle Mariners 88-74
- Houston Astros 81-81
- Athletics 80-82
- Las Angelas Angels 75-87
A weaker division then it normally is. The Rangers jump to the front of the pack this year behind a loaded rotation and lineup. The Mariners are good but cann’t reach the top yet. the Astros fall fast now. The A’s gettign closer to competign but barely stay out of the cellar. Did the Angles do enough? Not likely.
AL PLAYOFFS:
DW1: Yankees
DW2: Rangers
DW3: Royals
WC1: Mariners
WC2: Tigers
WC3: Guardians
WCR1: Royals defeat Guardians 2-1
WCR2: Mariners defeat the Tigers 2-0
ALDS 1: Yankees defeat Mariners 3-1
ALDS 2: Rangers defeat Royals 3-2
ALCS: Yankees Defeat Rangers 4-2
AL AWARD WINNERS:
MVP:
RF Aaron Judge – Yankees
He has no real compitition in the AL these days. As long as he is himself he will win it going away. He is on a mission to prove he can have major years in back to back seasons as well.
ROY:
LF Jasson Dominguez – Yankees
He is the best rookie by far. A great stadium to hit in and the world to grow in. Still just 22 as well.
CY YOUNG:
LHP: Max Fried – Yankees
Going to have a lot on his shoulders but is a very legit ACE in his prime! Wil have a huge year leading the Yankees back to the AL EAST TITLE and beyond!
Marinao Rivera Reliver of the Year:
RHP Devin Williams – Yankees
That’s right! He’s in the AL and with the Yankees now. He will shine in a contract year as the Yankees inexplicably still haven’t extended him and will run away with this award this year!
Most Improved Player/Comeback Player of the Year:
RF Mike Trout – Angels
Lets be real here. He even has a good seaosn and voters will rig it for him though he wouldn’t have earned it. Name recognition on these awards needs to end and they should only be awarded on merit. Judge in 2017 a prime example.
MANAGER OF THE YEAR:
Matt Quatraro – Royals
Getting the division title this season will get him this well earned award!
NL:
NL EAST:
- Philedalphia Phillies 93-69
- Atlanta Braves 91-71
- New York Mets 80-82
- Wasginton Nationals 78-84
- Miami Marlins 58-104
Marlins the laughing stock of the NL again (joined a NL West Team we will tlak about a little later on). The Phillies and Braves will pull away with this division with the Phillies winning. Just better teams then the rest. Mets lucky just to finish 3rd…
NL CENTRAL:
- Chicago Cubs 95-67
- Pittsburg Pirates 85-77
- Cincinnati Reds 84-78
- Milwaukee Brewers 80-82
- St Louis Cardinals 68-94
The Cubs are just that much better then the rest and yes the Cardinals have fallen that far as they rebuild. The Brewers will take a major step back after dealing Williams, the best closer there is right now, to the Yankees.
AL WEST:
- Las Angelas Dodgers 98-64
- San Diego Padres 92-70
- Arizona Diamondbacks 80-82
- San Fracisco Giants 75-87
- Colrado Rockies 58-104
Another clown of the NL in Colorado (who I admit could win as much as 70+ games) but will be hard pickings out side them. The Dodgers and Padres will run away with this division. No other real playoff contender here. DBacks added Burnes but still very weak in the pen, lineup, and rotation after the top 3 arms (Burns, gallon, and Kelly).
NL PLayoffs:
DW1: Dodgers
DW2: Cubs
DW3: Phillies
WC1: Padres
WC2: Braves
WC3: Pirates
WCR1: Phillies defeat Pirates 2-1
WCR2: Padres defeat Braves 2-1
NLDS1: Padres defeat Dodgers 3-2
NLDS2: Cubs defeat Phillies 3-1
NLDS: Cubs defeat Padres 4-3
NL AWARD WINNERS:
NL MVP:
RF Kyle Tucker – Cubs
He is in a contract walk year playing for the contract of his life. He will have a monster year and steal this award! Wrigley will be very kind to him as well.
NL ROY:
CF Pete Crow-Armstrong – Cubs
He’s looking like he will have a massive, MASSIVE year. Looking amazing in ST and has CF to himself this year with Bellinger on the Yankees. Look out for this young kid!
CY YOUNG:
LHP Justin Steele – Cubs
On a misison to prove he is the best of the best! He will be a finalist at the very least.
Trevor Hoffman Reliever of the Year:
RHP Ryan Pressly – Cubs
He’s now in the NL after being dealt from the Astros to the Cubs. Gets to be the Cubs closer and will have a massive, MASSIVE year. His award to lose.
Most Improved Player/Comeback Player of the Year:
RF Ronald Acuna JR – Braves
He going to run away and hide with this award once back. Looked good in ST. Going to have a great comback year. A .280/40/120 year would not surprise.
Manager of the Year:
Craig Council – Cubs
Going to take the CHICAGO CUBS back to the post seaosna dn win their 1sy division title in years. Since 2017. Should easily win this award once that is clinched!
2025 WORLD SERIES TITLE PREDICTION:
The NEW YORK YANKEES Defeat the CHICAGO CUBS 4-2. The Yankees have Williams and the Cubs have Pressly but Judge will be the difference this year!
