Juan Soto UPDATE FROM THE MAN WHOP BROKE THE NEWS BACK IN FEBRUARY

We all know about the news Soto has rejected all attempts by the Nationals to extend him. I broke this news back in February. So many guesses and informed reports even from big time reporters make it so hard to see what’s really going on. Just take a look at this:

Yes I reported it FOR THE 1ST TIME on February 16th! YES I KNEW BACK THEN! I even reported when JEFF PASSAN himself has now confirmed that it will take a massive haul to get him.

So what’s the latest as of right now? Well CBS Sports published this article today:

Complete garbage article. No truth at all. The Padres don’t have the ieces and neither do the Cardinals. No reason to even bring them up.

Buster Olney said this:

Which shows a disconnect between the sides. Not good at all.

Jon Morosi said this:

I was told as well its more likely before August 2nd’s trade deadline but THE GIANTS? Is Morosi completely insane? Holy yikes.

Then this form Jon Heyman:

If you actually took time to read that you can see of his 8 destinations ONLY THE YANKEES MAKE ANY SENSE!

The most sane takes were from Jeff Passan and Ken Rosenthal.

They both said the Yankees make the most sense and have the best pieces to land him with in Volpe and Dominguez. Exactly what I was told and reported.

REMEMBER I 1st BROKE THIS STORY BACK IN FEBRUARY!

All this considered the latest I have been told is this:

Cashman is determined to add played and win a title. He will sell the farm for Soto AND Castillo. One of Volpe or Dominguez is going to DC for Soto and the other to Cincy for Castillo.

The Castillo trade should happen 1st. I was told to pay very, VERY close attention to what that looks like to know what the Soto trade will look like.

The trade packages will look like this is Cashman has his way:

Yankees and Reds Castillo trade:

Yankees Get: RHP Luis Castillo

Reds Get: RHP Deivi Garcia, SS Anthony Volpe, Lower level Prospect

Yankees and Nationals Juan Soto Trade:

Yankees get: OF Juan Soto

Nationals Get: Of Jasson Dominguez, RHP Hayden Wesneski, Ken Waldichuk, INF Gleyber Torres, lower level prospect

There are the packages I was told to expect. The Yankees are working all out on this. They are determined not to be rejected.

The Yankees view Soto and Castillo as controllable guys that will easily be extended. That’s exactly what Cashman wants.

Pay attention. There’s several things in play here. Think realistically and not biased as reporters do. You will see what’s coming!

Don’t buy ANY NL teams actually having a chance here and let alone NL East. The Nats have seen enough of Harper in their division and league with the Phillies to never want to deal with Soto.
