The Wonder Years Never Really Concluded…

As I have taken some time before my life changes drastically with certain things happening for the far, FAR greater for me, I have been binge watching Boy Meets World and The Wonder Years.

I have Girl Meets world lined up next.

This said I noticed the weirdest things in the Wonder Years.

1st They kept playing weird games with the sweetest girl in cinema history in Winne Cooper. Having her make out with and date one guy after another when you know her best friend by far is Kevin Arnold.

Then they have Kevin being a rude idiot constantly having to patch things of with Winnie WHICH ISN’T NATURAL! ITS FORCDED CRAP!

The story lines flowed pretty well outside the Kevin and Winnie saga.

This all said, what irked by far the most WAS NEVER LETTING WINNIE AND KEVIN END UP TOGETHER AFTER HE CALLED HER HIS DREAM GIRL AND WON HER OVER!

Yes at one point her had her completely won over.

Look at Boy Meets World where Topanga Lawrence wins over Cory Mathews and they never separate again despite several arguments and spats.

The Wonder Years story line never letting Winnie and Kevin end up together is as brain dead as it gets! Complete loses everything it built up!

The show used the lines no one ever marries their 1st love YET… Speaking from personal experience, watching friends of mine and others who grew up with THEIR NOW SPOUCES, YES THEY DO FAR, FAR MORE OFTEN THEN NOT!

Around 85% of the time actually.

Then they say using a question, why would grown Kevin be talking about Winnie so much if he married her?

EXCUSE ME?

The real question is why the heck would he talk about her at all if married to another girl? WHY? That would only piss off his now wife to no end!

TAKE IT FROM THIS GUY, no guy ever talks AT LENGTH about a girl who was his dream girl AROUND HIS NOW WIFE who is not the same girl! That would only put him in the dog house for a long time!

For the best conclusion, The Wonder Years needed DESPERATELY to let Kevin marry Winnie in the end as Boy Meets World did with Cory and Topanga.

Now some may ask, can they rectify this in a reboot series?

To that I reply: No chance! The Wonder Years show writer lost the chance for the ultimate feeling of the joy of accomplishing one’s dream in Kevin winning Winnie over and marrying his dream girl during the original show.

Trying it in a reboot would be empty and forced.

Another major difference between these shows is Cory and his friend Shawn in Boy Meets World don’t get interested in girls till the 8th grade where as in The Wonder Years Kevin and his best friend Paul (Pfeifer) are from the beginning.

A very interesting contrast. Again take it from this guy, all guys 1st become attracted to and notice girls AROUND THE AGE OF 11 WHICH IS 6th GRADE and thus Boy Meets World loses on this one.

Lastly I will point out the stars of the 1 shows I mentioned here in Boy Meets world and The Wonder Years are REAL LIFE BROTHERS In Ben Savage and Fre Savage. Strange yet fun huh?
