The ONLY CHOICE for AL MVP and the Other AL Award Winners:

As we draw close to the end of the 2020 season, the season awards are now being debated.

I will do my Awards now with an in depth look at the MVP. Look below the break downs for the award winners in bold.

There’s really only 1 choice for the AL MVP and that is Yankees 1B Luke Voit. Yes DJ 100% has a case but it is still the MLB HR, SLUGGING%, ETC leader for me.

When you look at the stats and facts that Voit flat out carried the Yankees for over a month (Almost 2 months) its a easy win for Luke Voit.

The Yankees fall well below the .500 mark and out of the playoffs if not for Voit’s almost never before done HR pace run this year. He’s on pace with guys like Sosa, Ruth, Gehrig, and Mantle. same with Slugging %.

No player is MVP just by great #’s. It takes carrying a team and doing true MVP things which Voit has done.

However Luke Voit’s stat line with MLB leading HR’s, is 2nd to none! Just a unbelievable all around year for Voit!

The AL MVP is: Yankees 1B Luke Voit!

When we talk about AL Cy Young there’s only 1 possible selection. Though Garcia and Cole should get consideration, they cannot win.

The Indians RHP Shane Beiber has had an amazing unmatched season in the AL.

For ROY a complete surprise jumped on the scene and stole it. He has far better stats then Tigers RHP Michael Fullmer (a now flop) did when he illegally won it over Gary Sanchez.

This player is the Yankees RHP Deivi Garcia. He is 2-2 with a sub 4 ERA and lots of K’s.

AL ROY Winner: Yankees RHP Deivi Garcia

For most improved its very close between very few players. I go with my selection as its the most impressive that I have seen.

This player doubled his output from last year. Really, REALLY lowered his ERA and ETC. He’s also about to be a FA.

I go with LHP J.A. Happ in a otherwise very, VERY weak field for this award. Just dominant his last few outings. Luke Voit comes in a close 2nd.

AL MOST IMPROVED PLAYER: Yankees LHP J.A. Happ

For AL manager of the year I do not even look at Aaron Boone or other playoff Managers except 1. Bob Melvin of the A’s in my pick. Amazing job!
