The Real AL and NL Awards Winners for 2021

As the MLB season is in its last week, votes for the AL and NL awards are flowing in to MLB headquarters. Here’s how I voted, bearing in mind I stay away from false publicity by the media and such, meant to rig the awards:

American League:

AL MVP:

This is such a hard one with so many great season’s to choose from. I had to decide on who had the best impact on getting his team to the post season that is without a doubt AARON JUDGE of the New York Yankees.ย

Judge has by far more then any other player carried his team to the wild card game which the Yankees are near locks for right now!

AL Cy Young:

No matter what ANYONE says there’s only one choice here and he is New York Yankees ACE RHP Garrit Cole. He leads the AL in almost everything and is the only reason, pitching wise, the Yankees are even near the post season!

AL Rookie of the Year:

So many great Rookies out of nowhere (Kind of suspicious no?).ย  I give it to a player who set numerous rookie records for his team that stood for decades. The Baltimore Orioles Ryan Mountcastle. What a season for him!

AL Manager of the Year:

WOW… Hardest of all awards to decide… I awarded it to Tony La Russa of the White Sox as he won a division title and my #2 only got to the WC game (Its not the Redsux BS cheating Manager FYI). La Russa did enough to get this… but barely.

AL Comeback Player of the Year:

Is there even a debate here? Its the biggest runaway of them all! Its without a doubt the New York Yankees OF/DH Giancarlo Stanton. There simply is no other choice here. You see him single handedly demolish the Redsux this past weekend?

AL Silver Sluggers:

C Gary Sanchez – Yankees

1B Ryan Mountcastle – Orioles

2B DJ LeMahieu – Yankees

SS Tim Anderson – White Sox

3B Jamier Candelario – Tigers

LF Joey Gallo – Yankees/Rangers

CF Cedric Mullins – Orioles

RF Aaron Judge – Yankees

DH Giancarlo Stanton – Yankees

AL Gold Gloves:

C Salvador Peres – Royals

1B Jared Walsh – Angels

2B DJ LeMahieu – Yankees

SS J.P. Crawford – Mariners

3B Matt Chapman – Athletics

LF Andrew Benintendi – Royals

CF Cedric Mullins – Orioles

RF Aaron Judge – Yankees

P Sean Manaea – Athletics

AL Platinum Glove:ย

Aaron Judge – Yankees

National League:

NL MVP:

Again so many big season’s but one player sticks out above the rest. OF Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies. Harper has single handedly carried the Phillies to within a game of the division title. Without a doubt the MVP of the AL!

NL Cy Young:

Max Scherzer who was with BOTH the Dodgers and Nationals. Just another dominant year for Scherzer! Perhaps his last such year as he is 37 now…

NL Rookie of the Year:

WOW… Easy choice actually. Patrick Wisdom of the Cubs has by far the best year of ANY NL Rookie. Easy choice here.

NL Manager of the Year:

Easy choice again. Brian Snitker of the braves. Has the Braves on the verge of another division title when no one gave him a chance at the start of the season.

NL Comeback Player of the Year:

This one is a complete mess! So many candidates but no sure fire winner unlike in the AL. I decided on RHP Zack Wheeler. Very close though.

NL Silver Sluggers:

C Wilson Contreras – Cubs

1B Freddie Freeman – Braves

2B Nico Hoerner – Cubs

SS Corey Seager – Dodgers

LF AJ Pollack – Dodgers

CF Trent Grisham – Padres

RF Bryce Harper – Phillies

P Steven Brault – Pirates

NL Gold Gloves:

C Wilson Contreras – Cubs

1B Anthony Rizzo Cubs/Yankees

2B Ozzie Albies – Braves

SS Corey Seager – Dodgers

3B Austin Riley – Braves

LF Tommy Pham – Padres

CF Trent Grisham – Padres

RF Bryce Harper – Phillies

P Zack Davis – Cubs

NL Platinum Glove:ย

OF Trent Grisham – Padres

There are the real awards winners for the MLB! No bias. No media rigging. Just true winners!
